Help! After sitting for 4mos the clutch will not release pressing the pedal. Is anyone aware of something I Can try prior to splitting the case? Does anyone know of a good how to video on splitting the cases.
Try this:
If you have something that uses the PTO, put it on and while working it hard keep stomping on the clutch pedal or just use a strap and hold the pedal down, and if it will pop it will do it.
or if not PTO then something else ground engaging even a loader bucket.
or find something heavy to tow around.
Doing it in second or third gear will put more strain on the clutch disk.

This will not help you now, but after successfully freeing the clutch up, you should "block" the clutch, to prevent re-occurance when the tractor is not frequently used.

Make sure you have the tractor pointed in a direction where you have enough room to shut it down if this does not work.
Start the tractor in gear, preferably a higher gear than first. The higher the better without it getting dangerous. Then while keeping the clutch depressed stomp on the brakes a few times and this should release the clutch.
