Cleaning underneath mower after use

I always like to clean/wash my mower after i use it, have a 60" and it is hard to really clean underneath with a hose . was at lowes and found a connection that you can hook a hose to 3/4" pvc, to make a long story short. Bought the connection, and 6' of 3/4 pvc, drilled 1/8 inch holes every 4 inches, i dug a small trench at edge of driveway, about an inch deep, secured the ends with straps and pegs, hooked up hose and just drive the mower over the PVC engage mower and turn on hose, couple of minutes and all dirt leaves and bottom of mower is sparkling clean,

Good IDEA,,, I was going to blow a hole in my deck like in the Cubs with a hose bib, but have been really hesitant about that,, now this I think would work for just about everything you need to cleaned,, rear mower tiller the whole under side of the tractor too,, good idea,,,

Do you have a Lowes part number for said connection?

I will look today and try to get part number. tried it on my 4 ft tiller and it worked well also. works best if tiller is in high speed. really slings the dirt out from under it.

I always am a little bewildered as to why anyone would wet down the underside of their mower before storing it.
I know all the manufacturers are putting wash ports in the decks and my new toro says if you don't wash it your deck warranty is void.
I don't cut grass when its wet so maybe my deck will make it another year its at 2200 hours last time I looked at the meter.

senecak i could not find a number one it, Rx you go to lows and in the pvc section , in the connections section, ii'm sure they have them. can't remember the price but was reasonable.

The female hose to PVC fitting is nothing special, your local ace or true value should have it on the shelf.

Ok found the numbers, two numbers , dib't know the part number, one # 53360, 2nd # is below bar code, 046878533608, hope this helps,

i'm sure other hardware stores has the same thing, i just happened to run upon it at lowers,
