I have a question
i have a camshft
had a little use
I had to polish
camshft has some of the chrome nikel ore not???
there can be friction between tappet
camshft to have a little damage there could be problems
by not having chrome nikel ???

I'm not a tractor guy, but do know that all cams have a hard surface treatment so they don't wear very fast and usually last the life of the motor if the oil is changed at the proper intervals. If you have a pitted cam it will not last very long.
Does anyone in Portugal re-surface cams? They do that in the USA for car and motorcycle cams. Not sure about tractors.
Perhaps some else can tells us.
