I was doing some general maintenance this morning and decided to check the front axle center bolt while I was greasing the front end. Glad I did. The locknut was not tight. Fortunately, the bolt was just a little backed out (a little more than 1/6 of a turn). Spec is to snug the bolt and back out 1/6 of a turn. I don’t believe any damage was done but I will be checking it ever time I grease the front end from now on just to make sure the lock it hasn’t backed off.

Also, let me say that I have always checked it for tightness. Now it is a priority to check it.
