Seriously? A 55" box blade for a 15hp garden tractor. I used to pull a BB1248 behind the BX25 and that was more than enough for it. Sure if you plan on pulling some sand around, or a little bit of topsoil, but no for any serious work.

YES, I used a Sears ST12 with Brinly 10" single furrow plow to do 1/2 acre garden as well as make several swayles. Once setup it was a dream to operate.Does a garden tractor with a Cat 0 hitch do any serious work?
You must have the 'good' ones ,as several guys have had lousy luck with theirs when changing the batteries. Only reason for the failures would be very,very poor 'engineering' and substandard components.
Or owner/user abuse, negligence, ignorance etc. But that never happens right?
Last year I disconnected the MX battery, removed the ECU, shipped it to a company in Texas, reinstalled the ECU once I got it back, reconnected the battery and had/have zero issues. I've done a bunch of welding on both tractors, sometimes with the batteries disconnected and sometimes not, and still no problems. Some people will find a way to screw up anything and everything.
It is often though that we see posts here about 'frying the ECU' on some particular models. I can't recall 'frying a computer' and I've been design/build/install them for over 1/2 century. I know some have had lightning strikes within 1/10th of a mile.
Bottom line...the simple act of replacing a battery should not 'fry the ECU'.

I'm not going to take your word for it that any ECU can be fried by "replacing the battery". I'll wait for @whitetiger to provide actual insight into this issue, if such an issue actually exists. Somehow I think there's more to the story than simply "Well it's better built than the obscenely priced Kubota ECUs that fry when you change the tractor's battery !"
I never got around to trying this out. It would hook up to my cat1 JD by moving the lift arms inward.
I tried to flip it but found no interest so it sits out along the fence.
I recently came across a deal on a heavy 6 foot box blade made by A&B Eagle Line.
I spiffed it up and added 240 pounds of rubber base weights. I plan to weld on a elevated 2" bar to hang the weights on so they don't get pushed off by dirt. One of these days I will pitch in and grade the road.

And what do you think a cat 0 implement should look like/do? Nearly all cat 0 meets this qualification when compared to other implements, "...a product that sort of looks like a real product."
I'm going to guess if your not overly .....harsh.... in how you use it, this will likely do many jobs you need done.. Maybe with a bit more ...seat time.... than heavier equipment, but then that would cost more..

I was able to get a 5' cat 1 box blade at my local farm, auto store on a close out.. It was China made, and not best quality, but good enough for the jobs I needed done for cheap.. Good luck..

Here is a video of the same unit being used behind a BX. The guy said it worked fine for him but he eventually caught a ripper on a rock that bent the ripper. It would do fine for light duty work in my opinion. I biggest reason for not wanting to mess with it any more was I didn't want the take the time to weld on new tabs and make it cat1 quick hitch compatible.
