After looking at the chain closer it has stamped on the links GERMANY with a sproket in the middle and 60 stamped under the sproket. Is this a type 60 chain and can you get replacements? The chain does not have a master link.

Help

For occasional chain breaking, grind the pins off. Grind down into the side link to get all of the part of the pin that has been swelled and it will push out easily.

If memory serves correctly, a #60 chain is the same as 630 motorcycle chain. Also check the tension on a new chain after a few hours of operation. A new chain will stretch quickly when first installed.

Found the chain and master link at TSC actually about $40 for everything. Then made a phone call to a friend about a local heavy machinery fab shop here in town and went to see the guy and he had a 5 ft piece that he gave me! I took my gear and he matched it all and said good luck.
