Hi:

I'm new in these parts and happy to have found this place. I hope someone out there can help.

I am trying to remove the transmission/hydraulic fluid strainer from a BX-24. I have removed the bolt and the filler plate, as per the instructions in the manual, but the strainer itself is stubborn as hell. It won't budge. I can turn it, but I can't pull it out. It doesn't seem to be threaded. It's my understanding that the strainer on the BX-25 is the same, so if you know how to remove that one, you've got the answer.

Any advice on how to get this damn thing out?

They can be stubborn, but they do just pull out! A small pry bar in the retaining groove and a little penetrating oil etc. Not too much swearing! LOL
