Hi, I have a b7000 in good conditon. Ideally I would like to get a small square hay baler and make my own hay. I was wondering if the b7000 would be up to the job, it's relatively low hp so?? if in the uk so if anyone has any experience with this model and the uk models of baler would be a great help.

thanks in advance

Very unlikely you could make do with it, to low of HP output.
The other issue is the lack of a live PTO, would make slowing down to let the baler pick up speed impossible.

I vividly remeber square bailing with a Ford 3600 when I was a teen, talk about wagging the dog, that bailer chucked the little Ford back and forth violently, and it is a much heavier tractor. Point being, even if you could, you wouldn't want too

On my dads farm we had an old New Holland bailer that was powered by a 2 cylinder wisconsin gasoline engine. The tractor was only used to pull the bailer. I have seen a utube video of a B7100 pulling the same sort of bailer.

Back in the day they used to bale hay with Ford 9Ns and Ferguson TO30s. The balers were self powered (typically Wisconsin engine as mentioned above). A B7000 could maybe pull a self powered bailer on reasonably level ground as long as you were just dropping bales on the ground - i.e. no wagon hitched in tandem with the bailer.
