O.K., is it possible to clean the screen & change the filter without draining the fluid? Or is that an impossibility without it draining all out?

Ive read where people use a plug to fit where the screen is, will still loose some fluid. I don't know about the filter?
Changing the filter looses less than a quart - essentially the fluid in the filter. Removal and cleaning of the screen will loose all of the fluid except a quart or two left in the bottom of the case. A bx only holds 3-4 gallons, so changing the fluid and filter regularly is not too expensive.
