So, I have had a BX25D with a 54" deck for over 10 years. I have never ONCE had to take the deck off mid-season to clean it, and I cut everything with it from my year (about 2 acres) and fields (paths around another 30 acres). I just purchase this year a GR2120, 54" 4WD diesel for smaller mowing projects in the yard. I don't take it into the fields.
Like I said, I have never had to clean grass out of the deck on BX, but I have had to take the deck off the GR two times already this year. Both tractors cut the same grass at the same time. The GR has "baffles" under it and those get completely clogged with grass after 2-3 mows. Why would Kubota make these decks so different underneath when they are basically the same size and same style??? It is a real PITA having to do this every other time we mow. Has anyone also experienced the same issue(s) and what can I do about it, short of cutting out those baffles around the blades?
