BX wiring diagram.jpg Hi all,

New to the forum and looking for help. I have a 2015 BX25D-1 with 170hrs on the clock. a Couple days ago the temperature gauge stopped showing any reading. I shut down and checked to make sure I was not overheating and coolant was ok and all was good. When I went through startup I watched the instruments and the normal lights and displays lit up including all the LCD indicator checks on the digital temp and fuel gauges. once the tractor was running though there was no temperature indication even though the motor was at operating temperature ( I didn't measure it but had been running the tractor lightly for at least 30 minutes prior). all other instruments are working normally.

I left it overnight to start with a cool engine. So far I have checked the sender and while I don't have specs on resistance versus temperature I did find that at ambient temp (approx. 25 Celsius) the reading was about 250 ohms and as I let the motor warm up the resistance would drop in response. I only ran it until the measurement got to about 180 ohms. The sender is at least responding. If this sender went directly to an analog gauge I would consider grounding out the wire to see if it would peg the needle but this is a digital display and goes through the CPU. I have tried to attach a picture of the wiring diagram. seems pretty straight forward. single connector sending unit goes to a harness behind the gauge cluster, then to the CPU and that sends the signal to the LCD display. My issue is troubleshooting without doing anything to compromise the CPU.

Does anyone have experience with these digital displays/ CPUs?

Check the plug connections on the back of the instrument cluster, there has been known to have issues with it.

Your advice was bang on. When I got home this evening armed with the wiring diagram I got access to the back of the instrument cluster because I wanted to see if the resistance measurement at the connector matched the sending unit to verify the wire was good back to the cluster. It was so I confirmed I could not see any corrosion and then plugged the connector back in. I started the tractor up and my temperature gauge was working. After doing all that I came inside and saw your reply....thank you.

For anyone looking to do this you can remove the two nuts at the top of the dash shroud (access with the hood open) and the shroud will pull up just enough to get access to the 16 pin plug on the back of the instrument cluster. On the underside of the plug facing the steering wheel there is a tab to press to release the plug. I barely had to say any bad words!
