No more bucking tractor! Before I replaced the brushes on the sweeper the sweeper would start jumping from side to side violently if it got above idle. It would sound like the whole thing was going to fly apart. I bought the tractor from my neighbors who used it on the road. When it got out of sync you could hear it coming from clear up the road. I can see why when I saw this brush off the sweeper. The short side is 1" shorter than the long. Anyways new brushes it works great, can run it up past idle 
And if anyone is going to change the sweeper brushes you do NOT need to remove the bearing as instructed in manual (pictured) mike
