My throttle control lever snapped at around 200 hrs. I'm going to order another one, but going to do a small improvement... Under the plastic dash, I'm going to mount a bonze bushing in a housing that the new lever will pass through and hopefully this will lessen the leverage stress that the stock system has to deal with.

Hope everyone is having a good day,

Jason

I created my account when I got the BX25D-1, that tractor was stolen a few years after we got it. Kubota insurance replaced it with the first year version of the BX23S (I think it was the first year). I should update my profile!

Is this a BX23S or a BX23D-1? The title and your member information differ.

I have this same issue, it's looking like I gave to take the steering wheel off. Did you have to?

mine happened a little over 200 hour. You will need to remove the steering wheel and dash. Not hard. The 2 nuts are the adjustmen. Put 1st one on tight, test. If it’s too tight to move the lever, back it off a little. Once you find the right tension, put other nut on tight against the 1st nut. Mine is just right tension now. Good luck.

I've had a BX-23S for about one year. When I bought it (50 hours) the throttle lever was extremely stiff. One of the first things I did was to loosen the nuts under the dash until the Lever turned more easily. Haven't had a problem since. Before I went to the effort of adding a bushing, I would try loosening/adjusting the nuts. I think that will solve the problem. BTW, you shouldn't have to remove anything to access the nuts. I didn't. Good luck.
CORRECTION- you will have to remove the battery cover panel, but that's a routine maintenance item.

Removing the dash is only needed to replace the lever. Mine was super stiff when I bought it. Thought that was normal.
