Got a question on my MMM. I raise the deck and turn the knob to the top position, which in its self is chore, doesn't turn easy. Anyway, when I lower the 3 point, the mower deck drops a few inches. Is this normal or should it not move at all?

First thing to do is check the owners manual - it shows you how to lock it in the top position.

I believe there is a nut/bolt adjustment behind the rear left wheel.

Also - spray some lube on the threads of knob too.

Even when the deck is locked on TOP it will bleed down a little. Also before adjusting the knob make sure to raise the deck all way up, it will make it much easier turn.

I lock mine in top and lower the deck, I figure let the stoped carry the load instead of the hydraulics. But to answer the question; yes mine drops about +-1" til it is resting on the stops.

Some BXs have a bit of a problem with the lock as the knob shows it in all the way up the latch is only about 3/4 way, and adjustment is needed behind the left wheel so the deck gets up high enough to latch in the top lock
