BX2350. Three point linkage problem

Hi All
I have just bought a 10 year old BX2350, which the previous owner had just used for grass cutting (middle deck). No manuals, but I have downloaded some. He had a GCD 600 BX grass collector which I have taken off in order to use the 3 point linkage.
Problem is, I can't lower the hydraulic arms on the back.
There is a lever on the right which raises and lowers the cutter deck ...is there a valve which directs the hydraulic oil to either mid or back hydraulics? How would you normally select which hydraulic arms this lever controlled?
There is a control wheel below the seat, pretty much in the midline, which I think may control speed of raising/lowering the hydraulics? I cannot rotate this ...guess it is seized....any suggestions on this?
The rear hydraulic arms are currently in the up position and have probably been this way for a long time.
Thanks in advance for any advice
Peter

The knob under the seat that controls the speed of how fast the 3 point arms lower also keeps the 3 point arms from lowering if the knob is fully closed (turned fully clockwise). If that knob is frozen, you may need to get under the tractor and spray the knob shaft with some penetrating oil and tap the knob shaft LIGHTLY with a hammer to loosen it up enough to get it to turn. When I say tap LIGHTLY with a hammer, I mean just enough to get the knob to vibrate a little to work any rust loose. Keep the knob shaft wet with penetrating oil, keep trying to work the knob loose and be patient. It may have been locked in position for several years and is now just needing some coaxing to get it to work loose.

Thanks a lot Joe, I will try that.
Is there a separate lever for the three point linkage tho'? Otherwise, when I push the right hand hydraulic control lever down, both the under chassis arms (on the mid mower deck) and the rear arms will lower...? (that is when I get the speed control valve unseized).

Sorry to be so ignorant but the tractor is new to me and the old owner can't help, because he never used the 3 point linkage.

The MMM lift is hooked to the 3PH, so you can lock the deck in the top position and use the 3PH along, but not the MMM without moving the 3PH.

This commonly confuses new owners.

Just a thought, have you checked to see if the linkage is still pinned to the brackets? Dont ask how I found this out, it is most embarrassing
