Working on a bx2230 and got nothing when trying to start the tractor! Nothing lights up , no lights work ! Nothing! Checked battery voltage and have 12.77 volts! Got 12 volts to the back of the key switch! I do have an electrical schematic but can not trace out the issue for the life of me! Any help on where to start would be appreciated ! Got me stumped!

Not sure on the 12 volts coming out of the switch! Have to figure out which terminals on back of switch are sending voltage out!

I'm with shelkol. I'd expect a bad connection or a bad battery. A bad connection or a bad battery can introduce sufficient resistance to prevent the needed current flow.

A battery can read full voltage with no load, then dip to almost zilch with a load applied. This is demonstrated when trying to start a vehicle with an almost kaput battery or poor connection. Hop in, turn key and the dome light goes out. When the dome light is the only load, the battery can provide the current to light it. When you twist the key and a real load appears, the battery can't produce enough current.
