hi,
wondering if the b2750 is the only front mount snowblower for the bx2200 or if there is a more cost effective option? if i was to go with a rear snowblower, does anyone have any recommendtions as to what brand has the best value and what size blower to go with?

thanks

I looked around a lot before I ended up buying my front mounted blower, and, basically there weren't any. It would be a small after market with a lot of customization for each model. Because my front mount cost 4x the rear mount I even looked at converting read mount to front mount (not easy).

With respect to rear mount, these are commodities - not a lot of differentiation from one vendor to anough. Make sure you get a dual stage. Size should be a bit bigger than the width of the tractor - 6 to 12". Too big and the tractor will bog down.

Because of the quick hitch and mid pto assembly, the BX2750 is the only front mount snow blower that will work on your tractor, without a lot of fabrication. If buying a new 3 pt. hitch one I would suggest bying one that is common to your area and there is a dealer close to you. As far as size goes, the rear Kubota model is 51", so stay around that width. Anything from 48" to 51" would clear your tire tracks. Buhler/Farmking/Allied make a nice 50", and Meteor makes a 51". Those are the two I have used behind a BX23. Both worked well, but I have to give the nod to the Allied.

I know there are folks that run a 60" on the BX successfully. So based on the amount of snow you get, you may have to take the first pass really slow, and then take less then full swaths from there on out. A 60" blower is also getting awfully heavy for the BX. As long as you keep your loader on, you should be OK. Just make sure you check the lift capacity of your 3 pt. hitch before buying one that weighs to much.
