I attempted to search old threads but the search dismisses "3pt" as too common and gives every thread with the words "not working".
I had the PB line rupture to the auxiliary hydraulics. I do not have a FEL but I do have a hydraulic snow plow. I lost maybe 1.5gls of fluid over a time period of 45 seconds before I discovered the leak. I replaced all the lines, new filter and added fluid. I did not clean suction filter as only 150hrs since last cleaned. When replacing the lines, I did switch the In-Out lines for the auxiliary hydraulics, I quickly discovered this mistake and corrected. The manual contains a diagram of the block on the tractor's left side. It shows "out to implement", "return" and "in from implement" I have the Out to implement line connected to the control block fitting marked IN and the in from implement connected to the control block fitting marked OUT. Return is connected to PB. Initially I had In and Out reversed. Everything is working except the 3pt lift. I have not connected the plow but if I move the joystick to the up position, it loads the engine. Otherwise, PS works as should and transmission functioning properly. Fluid levels good.

If I work the 3pt lever continuously, it will eventually build pressure but not enough to raise the mower deck. Once this happens, it will immediately release pressure when I move lever to the lower position. When I go back to the up position - nothing. Only if I continuously move the lever will I eventually get some pressure to build. I did this for an hour while mowing grass, moving the lever from up to down. Is it still possible that I have air in the system? Any suggestions on how i would confirm or correct? Any other suggestions? Also, what is a good service/repair manual for this tractor. Thank you.

Your tank return and PB lines are reversed somewhere.

Post a picture of the manual page that you are quoting above and possibly one of the valve that is connected to the tractor. Or just reverse the hoses of tank return and PB as recommended above.

I think the use of IN and OUT terms may be confusing you since OUT on tractor may connect to IN on valve- but I may be mistaken as to what you’re referring to.

Thank you Dan and Russel. That indeed was the issue. (c) From implement must be connected to the PB port on the joystick valve body and (A) Return port is connected to the Out port on the joystick valve body (located just below the red dust cap). I had those reversed.
