BX1860 mowing deck clutch

I have a 2 year old BX1860 with about 70 hours on it. Sometimes when the
clutch handle is placed in the on position it takes a couple of seconds for the
deck to engage. I usually engage it at about 2400 rpm. Is there any note for concern?

Is there no physical clutch in this deck system? In other words is this deck clutch purely
hydrostatic?

That's exactly the way mine works. If yours has a problem, I guess mine does too.

It is a hydraulically engaged multi disc clutch. It is normal for it to take some time to engage, this helps reduce the shock of engagement.
