I'm in the process of making some work light shrouds (to keep my aftermarket lights from getting torn off), and wanted to paint them the "frame color". I found that 10 parts Rustoleum Gloss Charcoal Gray plus 1 part of Rustoleum Gloss Black makes a really good match for the factory paint color. I weighed small quantities of each on a gram scale, mixed, and made a test strip of several proportions of each mix. Anyhow....it's way cheaper than the official Kubota paint. The second pic shows the 10:1 ratio on a piece of genuine Kubota seat frame, it's hard to see the new paint from more than a few feet away. IMG_7698.jpeg IMG_7701.jpeg IMG_7700.jpeg IMG_7711.jpeg

You can take a part with the paint color you want walk into home depot and get a gallon of Urethane Alkyd paint color matched for even less than the rustoleum.

Yes, if I needed a quart or more I would have gone that route. I only needed 1/2 pint, already had the gloss black, spent $15 at Menards for the gray paint and a little bit of my time came up with a paint match that's plenty good enough for the job.

I wish Rustoleum would make a "kubota gray" like they make "kubota orange" as it's $21 / quart.
