I have a newer BX with a new rear blade added this year. The factory turnbuckles won’t thread in or out with the jam nut loosen. I know about telescopic stabilizers that can be purchased and I will be doing that next spring for dirt work. For now, I want to figure out how to get the turnbuckle stabilizers working for winter plowing. Could these already be bent just slightly enough to create this issue?

I assume you mean the stabilizer (side to side) turnbuckles that limit movement of the lower arms.

Those can probably be easily removed from the tractor. Then you could soak them in penetrating oil overnight (I use PVC pipe with a glued on cap as the tank and install a cap or plug at the other end).

Then put it in a vice and see if you can get it moving a little bit in each direction. If so you have won the battle! Just keep working it a little bit and spraying a good penetrating oil (PB Blaster or Kroil or…) on the threads. Don’t get too aggressive or you will twist the threaded section off!

And as mentioned above, one end of each stabilizer is left hand threads and the other is normal right hand thread. That is why I suggest the “both directions“ movement so if either is all the way in you won’t just be increasing the amount of stress on the threads!
