My first Kubota - my first post. I just got a 2012 BX 2360 w/loader and mower with about 500 hrs. Everything seems to work great but I'm concerned about a squealing noise when the bucket or the mower reaches the end of travel.

The noise is very quiet at first but as the machine warms up it gets louder and if I work it pretty hard it becomes a loud high pitched squeal. The place I purchased from say its normal - I don't know much about hydrostatic drive so for all I know they may be right.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Bucket and mower squeal has nothing to do with HST. The squeal you seem to be describing is the relief valve opening when you continue to hold the control lever with the cylinder at the end of travel. Its supposed to do that. Let go of the control handle and it should stop.

Thanks for feedback@TheOld Hokie.
I guess my question is : Is it supposed to get louder when working with the machine for a while?

I would not expect much change but if it does I would not worry. The key is dont hold the valve open against the relief.

For the rear three point hitch there is a feedback rod that can be adjusted to eliminate the squeal noise when all the way up. Not sure if this is on the BX or not

Check the fluid too it might be a tad low,, also remember the pump is right under you butt and with the ROPS you are sitting in a tuning fork so to speak.

There is no feedback link or adjustment on a BX three-point hitch.

Correct. It's not a position control 3ph, so it doesn't need an auto stop. When you push the lever up, it goes up. When you push it down it goes down. Your eyeball sets the level, your hand stops it.
