hello to everyone reading this post, i have a Bx issue which is causing me great stress.
i purchased a new bx231 last November, in March i fitted a kubota trailer tipping kit, basically a single acting outlet.
it fixes into the side of the Transmisson and when the lever is lifted, once the arms reach the top, oil if sent to the trailer socket.
my issue is that i keep getting a leak from the banjo fitting, ive tried new O rings, then had to replace the coupling and cover as the treads stripped. ive talked to two main dealers service departments and no one has a clue.
to make it worse, i since fitted the same kit to a new to me bx2350, and this is showing signs of leaking as well.
last fix i tried was liquid gasket, this has worked for about 2 weeks, now back to oil `gushing` when ever i move the lever.
any help greatly appreciated !

Can you install crush washers on the banjo fittings instead of the o'rings???

Post a picture of your banjo fittings and seals so we can see exactly what you are dealing with.

Standard banjos do not use orings - they use sealing washers. There are basically two types of sealing washers. The most common type is a solid metal crush washer. They are generally not reusable and should be replaced anytime the joint is disassembled. The other type is a metal washer with an elastomeric insert as shown below. This type is somewhat reusable and produces a more reliable seal.

Gasket sealers are not going to be effective at hydraulic pressures.

Stripped threads are caused by over tightening.

agree ,a picture will really help !
I've seen soft copper washers used with 'banjo' fittings, just 'snug' not too 'TIGHT'. same as what's typicaly used for oil drain plugs.

I have seen banjo fittings themselves become warped from over-tightening. Brute force should be left for removing rusted bolts, not installations.

many thanks everyone, i will try add some pics,
regarding the washers, there is sadly no room for any extras, after a most frustrating morning, i have managed to stop the tidal wave of oil.
i`ve added an extra small O ring round the bolt top, with a slightly larger one on the outside, added a bit of quick set sealer as a last resort.
i went with the next size up thickness wise, which was a tight fit, the return pipe from the AUX valve is a very tight fit, hopefully you can see this in the photos.
this seems to be working at the moment, i tightened the nut a tight as i dare, with out doing the treads again, i did notice that the replacement bolt was unpainted which helps socket wise, it also didn`t have a grove in the back like the original.
i wasn`t sure, but it felt slightly heavier as well
