My BX starts fine but has an intermittent sputter- not frequent- like the engine is about to stop. Is this a fuel problem? It has 775 hours and last fuel filters changed at 500 hrs.

That is normally caused by water in the fuel.
I would drain the tank and check for water and replace both filters.

My new B2650 was doing that. I realized it was when I was leaning on the right arm rest to look behind me and was rocking the seat off the safety switch. Bent the tab that contacts the switch and it has been fine since. Just sayin'...
