Get a 60 series.
I have a L3560LE and a MX5400. Both with cabs.
The cab is much nicer on the grand L.
The split transmission is a really nice feature.
Filling the MX is on the top of the hood, which sucks.
Filling the 3560 you can stand on the ground. 60 series will even tell you your tank is full before you overflow.

I was just noticing the fill - thats a very nice feature. My massey has it on the hood and I usually use a 5 gal can - its a pain. The dealer not too far away doesnt have the 3560le cab, but does have the mx5400 cab in stock. for the cab and loader with r4 tires he was quoting me 48,070. Thats right at 10% below the "build my kubota" price online. My dealer here is about 8% over the build price. If I could get the LE3560 at 10% under the build price, I probably would have purchased already..... I just feel like the price is a little high compared to what I have been reading, and the fact that the quote on the mx5400 matched what I had been readin about being 8-10% under the kubota website price. Getting lots of good info here - thanks!!

I have a 1964 135. I use it exclusively for brush hogging and PTO generator. With a rebuilt injection pump the internal governor handles the generator pretty well.

I bought a l2501 and I wish I would've got a little more horsepower and weight. It just doesn't have the grunt and isn't as stable on slopes as the 135 eve with 4WD.

The L3560 looks like a nice tractor. Ive never had the nice transmission so I don't know what I'm missing. I only have 10 acres and wanted to be able to haul with a half ton so MX would be a little too heavy for me.

1st gear, great intel.

Thank you for sharing. I was looking at the new L4802 before I saw the FEL capacity & extra goodies on the L3560 & L4060 w the 805 loader. I’ve got 19 acres. 12 which is fairly finished & just mowed twice annually & has horses on it through October.

I’ve got invasive russian olive on the remaining 7 acres … maybe an entire acre of Russian Olive that I’ve been clearing for a cpl years now off of fence lines, around persimmon trees & encroaching on several beautiful black walnut trees.

The FEL & a grapple are the immediate needs for the Russian Olive. I’m also going to do some grading of the 7 acres & till / plant a few small food plots 1/4 acre to 1/2 of an acre x 4 - 6 plots.

Need the grader w scarifiers for long gravel drive, leveling land, filling dips & gullies.

Please keep me posted on all of this. I like the Grand L3560 w cab and the Grand L4060 w cab … power at PTO is 28 on the L3560 vs 32.5 on the L4060 w HST.

A neighbor has an L3430 (27 at PTO) & told me he often wished he had just a tad more power when bush-hogging some of the hills on his similar sized property.

We’ve got the same hills; so I was thinking a small PTO increase would help.

I have a L3560LE and run my friends L6060 often.
The 3560 feels much more powerful than the pto rating ymmv.
It is also pretty easy on fuel.

I ended up with the L3560LE Cab with la 555 loader, couldnt find one with the la805 and got what I think to be a great deal on this one. It was 5k less than the local dealer in my area, but it was from my hometown about 3 hours away and they are bringing it to me. Very pleased, now just waiting on delivery!

Enjoy your new tractor and be safe. IF you not safe, take pictures so we can all talk about it. :)

JonnyRay,

Please keep me posted. Great for you & exciting. We had a bad storm last night & I told my wife … I need a tractor asap.

I’ve got 3 huge trees down & 6 smaller ones. Using my truck, trailer and 2 Sthil MS 261 CM’s is wearing me out. I just think with a tractor / grapple my back, arms & legs wouldn’t be screaming this morning.

Good for you JonnyRay … keep us posted.

Ugh…you got some trees down! I am building a new home and the guy that cut the trees made 3 massive piles of oak and hickory. Cutter said there was 20-25 cords of wood. Getting the tractor with the grapple will make cutting the wood pile much easier!
