I don’t think it should be hard to remove if you have removed the circular clip that holds it on.I know this is a year old but my 2610 is suffereing the same ailment. Makeing baby steps but decided to take off the lift arm to get the pin out. I got the ring off but I can;t get the arm to move off the gear. Yours came of easily. How did you get that arm off, please?
It is probably rusted together and will require some penetrating oil like PB Blaster to help remove it. You can also try to tap it gently in both on and off directions to get it moving. But don’t hit it too hard or you might snap it in two.
