I got home from working the tractor and realized I had left the parking brakes on. Drove maybe 1/2 mile like that and somehow did not notice. No hot smell or any obvious symptoms.
Returned to work and the tractor felt sluggish and slowed quickly when I let off the throttle.
Checked the brake release lever and it was released but the brake pedal felt stiffer than usual.
Is there any way to check the brakes and locking system?

I don't know, but I would probably first stop on a slight slope, put the tractor in neutral, let off the brake and see if it drifts or stays in place...My HST has neutral between ranges...not sure about yours if it is a HST...

Gear drive and it seems to have returned to normal.
Maybe I was just a little paranoid after driving with the parking brake on.
I will check it again tomorrow.
