What size box blades are everyone using with their M7060's? The 78 or 84 inch?

I will be using in sandy loamy soil and crushed gravel.

How wide are your tires set? I’d go 6-12” wider than that for a box blade. You have plenty of tractor to pull 96+”.

I have an 84 behind my MX6000. Tires are about 72-73” outside. Does fine.

Not sure yet Matt. Still waiting to find out. My salesman was out all day but he thinks it has the cast rears and he did say it has the wider front tires on it.

So you do think it will handle the 96? I'm never taking big cuts with my current setup anyway. I'm running a 60 inch on my B2620 right now.

I know @mcmxi has the same box blade as me behind his M6060 and he lives on a rock. In sandy soil you’d be fine I’d think.

Yep. We both have the EA Severe Xtreme Duty CAT I/II 84" V2.0 and it's built like a tank. As @Matt Ellerbee said, the M7060 would have no problem pulling the 96" version. I might have gone that route but I only had an MX6000 when I ordered from EA with no thoughts of getting an M6060. As it is, the rear wheels on the M6060 are around 84" outside to outside so unless I need the extra grunt it's a good match to the MX.

I use a Woods 84 inch with my 7060. Pulow it just fine. Cut some swales in my field a couple of years ago which started with top soil and ended with something we call gumbo clay here in Georgia. It’s a grey clay that is slick and gummy when wet and rock hard when try. I got to use the blade on it in both stages. The tractor did fine when moving the damp to wet heavy clay and fine with the scarifiers breaking up the hard stuff. I believe the box blade weighs around 850 lbs. it gives me plenty of room to erase tire tracks With 84 inches.
