Bought a Corn Planter Last Weekend

I bought a set of 2 25-B John Deere planters monted on a John Deere utility bar last weekend.

Does anyone have any experience, information on what I've got?

Fertilizer boxes are still there. They may need a little patchwork. I haven't had time to clean it up much.

I paid $250. I think I got a pretty good deal.

I've always wondered how one determines the difference between a corn planter and other planters that plant different type seeds such as cotton,beans,peanuts,milo & peas? I thought it was the type plates in the planter that determined what seeds the planter utilized so IE a corn planter could actually be a milo planter with the right seed plates.

I think you're correct.

Technically, I'm the owner of two 25-b UNIT Planters. I believe they have corn plates.
