Hi all,

I'm trying to find a blade bolt, but the deck I have has no ID, so its hard to locate exact diagrams.

It's a 60" belly deck and as far as I can see, very similar to the RC60 24B.

BUT..... the blade bolts are reverse thread.

And the part number that keeps showing up is K5651-34370 but, as far as I know that is normal thread.

Any help would be amazing. I'll sort out some pictures.

Big thanks in advance

Maybe at some point the bolts and spindles were changed. How did you confirm that the K5651-34370 bolt is right hand thread? Pictures would help.

It may be helpful if you use the correct terminology. By “reverse thread”…. perhaps you mean “Left Hand Thread”..??

By “normal thread”…. perhaps you mean “Right Hand Thread”..?? (you could also mean “FINE” thread or “COARSE” thread….if you see what I mean by the use of correct terminology.

When I needed “reverse thread” (I.E. Left Hand, 14mm bolts for my BETSCO finish mower…. I found them on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07KCC1VNM?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_23&th=1

HOWEVER: IF you are Correct about the Kubota Part Number….then Amazon Claims to Also have THAT :

According to TractorData (which isn’t 100% correct all the time and you’re in the UK so maybe have something a bit different) the 60” deck for the B2410 is a RCK60-24B. The part number you listed, K5651-34370, when searched at Messick’s shows that part number is obsolete and has been superseded by part number K5651-34372.

If you go to the link above and scroll down a bit, it shows that part fits 117 models. Navigating through the tabs in the compatibility section, you can see what all it fits. Notably, it fits the RCK60-24B and several other 60” Kubota mowing decks.

Also notable is that Messick’s has 100 of them in stock. That’s likely because it fits 117 different models so it’s something a dealer is likely to have in stock. You could call whatever dealer you’d potentially buy one from, ask them to pull one and check the thread direction. If you have a dealer nearby such that shipping won’t be exorbitant, it’s a bit less than $6 part. You could just buy one and see if it fits being it’s quite likely it does.

Post a picture when possible.

Take a look at the belt and how it's routed. It should look like the picture below. All the blade pulleys rotate in the same direction and all use the same bolt. Either K5651-34370 or K5651-34372. If not the same it is not a RCK54-245B or RCK60-24B.

If the belt routing is not the same and causes one of the pulleys to rotate in the opposite direction then you would need a bolt with left-hand threads for that pulley.

Since B2410's take either RCK54-245B or RCK60-24B I don't see how it could be different unless modified by a previous owner.

Thanks to nearly everyone for your info and help. And to confirm, for anyone struggling with my 'incorrect terminology', the bolt is left hand thread.
I'll try and get a photo sorted.

Thanks so much for this. The belt does indeed do the route the same as your picture, all blades spin the same way, and yet all three blade bolts on mine are left hand thread.

Read through this thread if you care to. The gist is that one blade rotates clockwise and the other anti-clockwise. There are two blades and two bolts. So one bolt is left hand thread. Perhaps it is the correct size for your mower? (I am not going to try to figure out which bolt is which for you and provide any part numbers since I would be afraid of providing incorrect information.)

And if you have an example of the bolt, right hand or left hand, for the correct size and length then I suggest you can get the left hand version from a local bolt supply company or the internet or your dealer, using that example bolt for size of thread, pitch of thread and length of bolt.

Something doesn't jive here. If the belt routing in post 5 is correct
1. All 3 blades rotate in the same direction. For one to rotate opposite, it would have to drive off the back of the belt, or the belt would have to be twisted.
2. The spindles turn clockwise, looking from the top. Therefore, the bolts will be right-hand unless substitute parts (spindles) have been installed. The center pulley is the drive sheave - if it turned counter-clockwise the belt tension would be against the tensioner, which is poor design resulting in poor operation.

I beleive that's for an RCK48 with only 2 blades.
