Hello, I have a new MX6000 with a BH92 and hydraulic thumb attached. The thumb will not stay fully open and continuously closes slowly.
Not sure what is causing this and even the dealer seemed to not know.

Any suggestions for troubleshooting?

Seems you have hydraulic fluid moving into the cylinder or leaking out of the cylinder. Or it could be leaking past the seals on the cylinder piston.

If you have disconnects on those hoses to that cylinder, you can remove them and see if the ram moves or not. If not seals aren’t leaking so then you will have to see if the BH valve is leaking (which would require replacing the valve I think).

Thanks, I will share this with the dealer.
If thats news to the dealer consider finding another.....

As Russell said. Disconnect both hoses with grapple open. If it closes the cylinder is leaking. If not the valve is leaking. Unless of course there is fluid on the ground. Thats a whole nuther problem....
