Hi All,
I have been done some leveling and grading. In the process of getting some rocks out I bent 2 of the Tines. My own fault, I was trying to pull rocks with the rake that I should have been pushing with the FEL. I bit of a learning curve going on here but I got the job done.
I needed a rake fast and picked it up the 6' Countryline Rake at Tractor Supply for about $500 for my L3800. The rake and tractor seem to match up well. My only wish is that the rake was heavier to better balance the FEL. I seem to need both at the same time.
I would be happy to hear any advice anybody has. I took a sledge hammer and bent the tines back into place... I don't know if I did good or bad, but I figure they are replaceable for about $10 each so it was worth a shot and it seems to have worked.
Does anybody have any opinion on working with bent tines? Does it mater? How much many bent or broken tines before losing productivity?
Thanks for any feedback.
