Have a B7000. Temp today 15.
Hard turning over, glow plug indicator light not visible.
Hook upped battery charger showed sending aprox 4amps to battery which would indicate to me battery was charged.
Hit glow bug switch and charge went up to aprox 8amps, glow plug indicator on dash went to a visible red in aprox 15 seconds.
Started tractor and removed battery charger.
The question is even though my battery is aprox 1.5 years old is the battery the problem?
Is my generator not charging the battery?
Is there a deep cell battery I should have bought?
I have owned this B7000 for aprox three years and this is the first time I have seen the glow pug indicator jump to red that soon.
Did use the anti compression lever.
Was it a mistake to have battery charger hooked to battery and powered on when starting?

Any observations or knowledge appreciated.

Thanks
Ron

Clean the battery cable connections.
Suggestion- replace your cables, move ground from frame to engine block near starter, add ground to dash. Go over your entire electrical system.

No on the deep cycle battery.

It's fine to leave the charger on.

The last battery on the tractor lasted 6 months........such as life.
