36x16x12 - about 500#

Next week I will remove the forms and paint

I welded up that frame out of scrap iron I had laying around and painted it black. Paint covers up my crappy welding

No - brush painted (krylon)
It didn't fill in all the pours, but most. You have to be looking to buy to see the white dots

I see you have two PVC pipes coming out the top of the weight box, what are those for?

Rake or shovel , stick the handle in it.
They drain out the bottom

That was a pretty smart idea. I'm kinda with WinnieCouple on this one, you could have made room for a built in ice chest and have a few cold ones on hand!

Best ballast box I found was box blade, inexpensive, heavy and you can grade with it as you work or back fill. I use mine all the time when my finish mower is not in use. Watch video on orange tractor talks.com on box blade use. With a little ingenuity you can even put a trailer hitch on it and/or toolbox and tool holder. Mine is the most important implement I have (as my tractor has a FEL) as well. Move the dirt with the FEL, then level with the box blade, works great.
