Bought a 3pt backhoe yesterday. Today mounted it to my Kubota M4700. Not going to say I was not concerned how hard it would be to mount. Turned out it was way to easy. I had it on the tractor in less then 10 minutes. :) But over the years I had read all the horror stories about how hard they were to mount.
The backhoe is a 2000 model Woods BH7500. Its a little small for this tractor. But figured being 3 point mounted. And my tractor is at the top of its hp rating. It should not beat up my Kubota.

It does look to me that the seat is close to the tractor?

Older guy I bought it from. Told me he hated to sell it. But it was not worth taking it off and mounting it. He had cows and used his tractor everyday. Thus could not leave it on for long stretches at a time. He told me this after we had it loaded on my Trailer.
Made me think OOhh good what have I gotten myself into this time. I sure wish I had not priced my Yanmar B47 ecxcavator 12 years ago. But also got within $300. of what I had paid for it 10 years before. Know this is not going to be as fast as it was. But have the tractor and now the hoe.

Anyone else have a backhoe on there M Kubota? If so how close is the seat on yours?

I don’t know if it applies to your tractor, but with a 3 point backhoe, my smaller B2910 required a heavy duty top link bracket to avoid damaging the transmission case.

You may want to check and see if one is available, or required, for your tractor.

Not sure on the seat. I had a BH7500 on a L3700SU and it used a sub frame. Your tractor is the larger frame size but be careful with the top link. There all kinds of stories about the 3pt hitch top link being ripped out.

Mine has a heavy duty top link bar. Woods even shows you must have and use the adjustable top link bar. Plus has thick bars from that to each hitch pin at the backhoe. Locked the hoe from moving. Also my has class II pins. Going to order a new seat soon.
Been using the hoe for a while. Sure not my excavator I used to own. But beats a shovel any day.
