Backhoe grease zerk missing?

Hey all this should be pretty easy to answer. I have a BH77 for the B2650. I noticed that where the pistons sit that swing the boom left/right there is not a grease zerk on the bottom. Did this get forgotten by the dealer? I attached a couple of pictures. It looks like there are threads in the hole.

Simple fix, replace it. Alemite fittings are readily available at any auto parts store and TSC. Buy a selection, they are inexpensive.

I guess my question was more "if" there is supposed to be a zerk there. Both of those pivot points (left and right cylinder) are missing the zerk. Looks like I'll be headed to the auto parts store tonight.

No grease fittings go in there. It's just a pin. That cylinder isn't supposed to move at that pin point.

I'm going to check on mine, curious now. Some zerks are used on "non-moving" parts in that they lube areas that could seize parts together that need disassembly for service, like my snow blower augers to their shaft.

The manual that came with my BH92 shows where all the grease points are I would check your manual if that is a place to grease it will be listed in the manual.

Those are not grease points in my manual (BH77), but are threaded holes for zerks. No grease needed, but those pivot pins do move in use, just not much, maybe 10-20 degrees?

Nice, thanks for the info. Yeah it seems weird since those pins do move and they are threaded holes. That's what I get for crawling around under my tractor!

They may be providing a method to remove the pin? Install zerk, pump grease in, pressure then pushes pin out the other side?

I don’t know for sure why they are there, just a thought.
