My B8200HST starts and runs, but when it gets under a load cutting grass it gradually starts missing and starts losing power. It will run good for about 3-5 minutes before it starts doing this. If I shut the pto off and idle the throttle back quick enough and wait, it will smooth out and I can take off again only to repeat this senario in another 5 minutes. I have changed the fuel filter and air filter, bled the fuel lines and injectors, even ajusted the valves. No change. Any suggestions?

sully, maybe you have some gas in your diesel. Dip something in your tank and try to smell gas, or put some on you fingers and see if it evaporates a little quicker.

D2cat, thanks for the advice. I did what you said but couldn't smell or notice any gas. So to be sure I decided to drain the tank. That's when I found the problem. When I took the line off the fuel filter nothing came out. The line was kinked right below the tank. It's the simple things that always slip by. Thanks again.

No, haven't had the tank off. But it is the original fuel line. So it's probably close to 30 years old and it is very flimsy. Also there is a coiled wire around it that had slipped closer to the fuel filter. i think its time for some new fuel lines.

Bought my B8200 new in 1985. Never had one problem with it. Has about 850 hours on it. Add the loader the next year. Then modified the belly mower frame so I could have the belly mower on, use the 3 pt. and the loader at the same time. The B9200 came out and was a little longer and had that as part of it's design. Also added a screw on hyd. filter so I didn't have to mess with that strainer.

It sure makes you appreciate the older machines when you see/hear all the problems folks have with all the safety switches/glitches!

It's probably worth within $1000 of what I paid for it.
