Just bought a 1989 B8200 with loader. The Loader won't operate unless I move the rear hydraulic lever at the same time I move front hydraulics for loader,,,Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated

Just a guess here, but on my B9200 there is a selector on the hydraulic block that the loader valve is plumbed from.
The selector has a hex shaped head with a little roll pin installed in the side of the hex.
This selector has to be turned all the way clockwise or counterclockwise and can't remember which. Might want to check that.

Not sure if this might be the problem but the roll pin has been bent and the hex nut/valve will spin completely now around,,,could be problem but do not know how to adjust position now

npalen has you on the right track. How about posting a picture of the selector block, and we can give you some ideas of how to fix it.

The "hex valve" on my B9200 is turned clockwise as shown when using the loader and then counter clockwise when loader and loader valve are removed from tractor.
The roll pin in the "hex valve" goes up against the pin in the valve body as shown.
It sounds like yours may be out of position to where it sends pressure to the 3PH first and then to the FEL. Let us know what you find out.

Mine looks like your picture except the roll pin has been broken off. I kept turning the knob while operating the loader and finally the bucket starts curling just fine but the lift still is not working unless I raise the rear hydraulic at the same time.

Have you checked the hydraulic fluid level? There should be a dipstick under the seat.
Sounds like there is not enough psi available. Does the 3PH raise with a load on it?

Yes rear hydraulics work fine, fluid level good. I chained the rear hydraulics down and then pulled the lift lever for rear,,,then it appears the hydraulics were transferred to the loader and it operated as it should,,,,,With that said do you think that the Directional Valve is bad? If so can it be rebuilt?

I don't think the loader valve would be bad since it works when the 3PH is chained. Right? Almost sounds more like something is screwy in the 3PH valve. Maybe someone with more insight will chime in here.

I'm trying to remember whether the 3PH valve on my B9200 is plumbed ahead of or behind the loader directional valve. Seems like the directional valve is power beyond which would indicate it is ahead of the 3PH.

Do you think the previous owner may have changed some plumbing of the hydraulic system?

Flow after the divertor block goes to the loader valve,3 pth should be power beyond,so it seams that may be mixed up some how in the plumbing,Npalen may be onto something
