I have found a small leak coming from the seal that the output shaft has at the engine/tranny combination. The oil is hydraulic (slight yellow tinge).
Grass from bush hogging seems to have wound itself around the shaft and maybe compromised the seal. I removed the grass, not much but enough to have to be cut away to reveal the shaft. I topped off the rear tranny hydro oil
and I got back more control over the bucket so it confirmed a hydro system leak and the seal has to be it.
Question, can the seal be changed without splitting the tractor? From what I can see it may be possible without that procedure, not sure yet, call is also in at a local dealer.

Tractor has 227 hours on it and it is 11 years old.;)

I have a Belarus , old and the hydro pump began leaking, didn't want to spend the money to fix it because it was very expensive, i started looking on ebay for a used one, and ran upon Seal Lube, 14.00 for an 8 Oz bottle, thought it wouldn't hurt to try this stuff, thinking it was much like radiator leak or something like that, to make a long story short , i bought it and tried it, it is a clear liquid, very thin, started the old tractor , poured this stuff in and in about 15 min, the leak stopped, and it's been over 8 months and still no leaking, this stuff works to revitalize the rubber seals, and it really worked for me.it works in any oil seals . could save you some money.it sure did me.
