b7200 PTO seal replacement

I am going to replace the PTO seal on my tractor. I have a question regarding the PTO rear cover. Does the PTO rear plate require a paper gasket or will ultra black RTV sealant work in its place? I can make a paper gasket to fit the plate but I think the RTV may seal better. Thoughts?

I have checked the parts manual and there is no paper type seal shown.

We could conclude that a paper seal is not necessary.

About one year ago I had minor leaks around that area and I replaced the PTO shaft oil seal also cut a paper seal for the PTO plate and installed it with gasket compound on both sides.

No more leaks.

Your call on what to do!!!
