I have a older b7200 4x4 with hydrostat transmission , the loader and rear hydrolics work but trans wont do anything , I noticed the drive shaft dont spin until you press the clutch pedal then it barely spins , any ideas on what could be the problem , I'm not sure how the clutch works with the hydrostatic trans

Doesn't sound like you have a hydrostat problem, sounds like you have a clutch problem, And by the way, way cheaper than a hydro problem.

If the shaft that feeds the hydro is not spinning then there is nothing for the hydrostat to transmit to the wheels.;)

Split the tractor and put a new clutch, pressure plate and throw-out bearing in it, and have the flywheel surface ground.
