I am searching for a compact tractor with a FEL. I have come across a 1979 B7100DT with 1900 hours. It has a 1530 loader but no other implements. With everything in working order what would you consider a fair price? Also concerned about not being hydrostatic and no power steering because it will be used primarily for loader work. Another question, would this tow a 2300 pound tandem axle trailer? Any advise would be much appreciated.

No power steering and a lot of loader work is harder than you'd probably want. People did it for years, so you can, but if you don't have to I wouldn't.. Often the loaders on these older machines are less good than a newer machine too - less lift capacity and longer cycle times. I'd drive it, and drive a newer machine, and feel the difference to see if it's OK for you. If it were me I'd want a newer machine with HST and power steering, but depends on how much money you have whether you have that choice.
