I am a new owner of an aging B7100D. I have placed Hazard lights on the hand rails and have found leads that appear to be intended for powering them. WHERE can I find a switch (is it possible to find a switch that would also allow use ase turn signal?) and:
WHERE do you run the wires so they don't get in the way, snag or look like they don't belong?
Compared to most of the information available here (very useful, informative and well-illustrated) this is a pretty amateur request. I live in town, have only hand tools and don't have a clue.
Thanks

Do you have the existing switch on the dash? Far left.

Mine actually is a turn signal switch and not a hazard switch, I rewired mine to hazard, not turn.

Can you Show a picture of your dash?
On my l1500dt my switch is on the right next to the starter switch. Mine has turn signals.

There is just the hole with arrows which appear suited to turn signals rather than hazard lights. Ideally I would like a switch you could pull to activate hazard, turn right or left to activate turn signals. Or turn to 6 o'clock for hazard, 3 and 9 for turn signals.
Does anyone have pictures showing where their wires run on a B7100?
To my surprise I have no pictures of the dash but will look after that while my hands are still clean.

Here is what my dash looks like. It needs a switch that looks OEM. Meanwhile I'm gradually cleaning and painting the Woods mower. (Woods Owner's Manual says decals available for free from dealer, local dealer appears unaware of this...).
I'm also hoping to eventually find an FEL and would appreciate hearing from those who are knowledgeable about them- which Kubota FEL models will fit and which other manufacturer's models will fit (bearing in mind that I don't have a shop).
Thanks

If your machine didnt have turn signals you will need more than just a switch, you will also have to wire in a flasher (thats a little device that interupts the current to make it flash) toggle switches that have two on positions are redily available. I would think you will need a seperate curcuit for hazzard lights. They used to make a self contained kit you clamp to the steering colum with turn and hazzard all in one .

theres plenty more like this but this is the first example i found

jc whitney probably has them also

Local dealer will have my switch tomorrow. Kubota parts lists it only as 'switch' (number 30 on the dash illustration). I have a flasher module and intend eventually to install another switch that will tuen on BOTH lights at the same time. Circuit diagrams will help me avoid blowing fuses (or worse) and help would be appreciated.
Also- currently have wires sliding down my fenders. This looks wrong to me so please help- where do your wires run and how doyou tie them down???
Thanks

SO I now have a Hazard Light switch installed in the turn signal location. Hazard lights and bulbs installed and functional. Except I appear not to gat durrent from the wire that was taped to the leads to the lights. Can someone suggest how I can check circuits and function without runing the engine? (Will it dmagae anything if I turn the key to 'ON' without starting the engine?)
Thanks

For my B7100 HST...

Reecommend you go to this site, find your tractor, and download the manuals.
http://www.kubotabooks.com/AutoIndex/index.php?dir=Tractor%20Parts%20Manuals/&AutoIndex=e60d03ecf0716cceaf24673ad731e4c8

Find the electrical diagram on page 16 of part 3.

You should not have to turn the key on to check the hazard lights...they should be hot always to the hazard unit (flasher) , continuity from the flasher to the hazard switch, and flashing current from the switch to the lights with the switch on.
If you are not getting current, there's a 3 amp fuze that may have blown.

Good Luck,
Blackjack

Leaving on the key will not harm anything other than discharging your battery .

Let me shed a little light on your situation:

I have a sneaking suspicion that someone has swapped out your dash panel, or your mistaken on which model you really have.
You have the dash panel from a B5100-B6100 on your tractor not a B7100 Panel.
If they also swapped out the wiring from the B5100-B6100 then the flashers (right and left) are switch powered.
If it has the wiring out of the B7100 then the fashers (common right and left) are Not switch powered.

Here are the two scematics of the wiring, they are compleately different on the Flasher circuits.
