I want to flush the radiator and engine block on my B 7100. Since it does not have a water pump, what is the best way to flush the engine block ?
Does the B7100 require special antifreeze?

Is there a better way that just draining it , filling it with clean distilled water and running it for 10 to 15 mins. and doing this several times?

You are right on all accounts......

how "bad" is the radiator and what not? IF you want to clean it out - then place a 1/2 gallon of white vinegar in it - water the rest, run around and get it really hot, cutting grass, plowing snow - whatever, drain and repeat, then place water in it only- run around again ( I would allow tractor to cool first before draining and switching fluids) then drain water.

I would not go 50/50 on antifreeze - I would go 30/70 , the water being 70%.

Water cools an engine better than antifreeze.......however the good stuff in antifreeze is very helpful.

Need to take readings on the cooling after working hard.....top of rad neck, lower neck .......report back

Thanks for the suggestions. I had not thought about going with a 70/ 30 mix. But since it does not get very cold here and I keep it inside, I think that is a good idea.

Nothing wrong with the rad. or cooling system , just thought I would change and flush the cooling system because of age of antifreeze. I have never had it over heat and I would like to keep it that way.
