I have an early model B7100 that has this Auxiliary Gear Reduction unit. I have had this tractor for 8 years now and I still know very little about this part of it. When I bought it, the previous owner said it was an auxiliary hydraulic unit, I knew that was wrong.

Here is what I know, it was originally for a trencher option. When I plug the rubber hose into the unit, I lose the ability to use the 3 point. I did read somewhere that they really creep along when you use them. I have never figured out how they are to be used.

Any ideas? Does anyone else have one like this?

Thanks!

That unit is the Creep Unit and is used when the tractor has a trencher attachment. I have one like it that has the trencher. I am trying to find a replacement for my creep unit as it has a broken mount inside. I also have a few broken gears inside the transmission that I am going to replace. FYI... to shift into the creep gear, go to the middle between gears and pull toward the rear of the tractor. Very slow speed but required for trenching.
