B7001 with 72 " mower

I'm looking to buy a 72" land pride mower witch is a pull behind bush hog ..would my B7001 be able to pull and use it to mow the lawn??? thanks in advance ...johnny

pull it .......sure! Engaging the pto? Dont think it is gonna make it!:p

Unless your grass duties are very light ...... look at a 48" rear mower.

I am not sure that B7001 would even LIFT that 72" mower!;)

A 6’ brush hog is going to be way more mower than 13hp at the pto can handle. Your machine may spin a finish mower, but very likely too heavy to lift. I think you are in the 4’ brush hog, and 5’ finish mower range.
I ran a 6’ finish mower on a heavier B8200 and it managed in frequently cut grass. I had to add 150 lbs of weight up front to keep the wheels on the ground.

I believe that it works out to 4hp PTO output to every 1 foot of implement so a 48 incher would be just about the biggest you could do,, Not to mention the exorbitant wight difference

Far too much mower for that tractor. A 48" would be about right.

If I planned only to mow my lawn, I'd get a 60" finish mower.
