have you tried hanging an owl or hawk on the eve
We tried that. A friend from work loaned me an $80 high tech owl that was solar powered, had random movable eyes & movement, even made sounds. Worked for about a week, them they pecked holes in it. Had to buy the guy a new owl.:mad:
This particular species of woodpecker is about the most destructive, pig-headed, ornery bird on the planet.

Depends on which parts. The hydraulic stuff (seals, o-rings, hoses, spool valve) should all be standard US sizes. Any decent hydraulics shop should have them.
All the hard parts like dipper & boom, swing bearings, mounting plates, etc are probably long out of production. If you read this thread, you should get an idea of what's readily available & what is not. The B670 is a hoe of similar size & age, and was built by Aeroquip.

Thanks it’s in really good shape for it’s age mostly sit too long having to replace hoses and just blew the seals in one swing cylinder. Ameriquip has a site that converts boom curl and bucket which are all the same to John Deere repair kits and the stabilizers just not the swing

As some of you know, I bought a 2nd B670 backhoe as a parts donor. I have a rule to never to buy anything sight unseen, but I violated it in buying this, and this piece reminded me why I have that rule.
It has got to be the most abused, butchered, beat up B670 on the planet. Having said that, it appears that all the parts I had planned to use as spares are quite usable. (cylinders, spool valve, regulator, cushion valve, pump, seat mount)
The only obvious leak is the regulator.
I will post some pics showing some of the abuse/butchering, (believe me, it is far worse than the pics show) and some minor differences/design changes.

A minor difference from mine (SN1460) and this one (SN2543) is the nomenclature plate- mine says KUW 200, the later one says B670.

The connectors that connect the BH to the B219 frame are two different lengths, shorter for the gear and longer for the HST. The connectors on this one are the longer style, but with two hole patterns to accommodate either use.
First I have seen like that.

I am familiar with two styles of the rear hanger plates that bolt to the differential pumpkin- the style mine has, (full plates with a clearance hole to allow the use of the 3 pt pin) an identical plate without the clearance hole, and these plates with most of the plate cut away to allow use of the 3pt pin. They appear to be factory, not another style cut down.

The pump on this one is different than all I have seen, and I have not been able to identify it. It is marked:

I called the number, and got Northern Equipment, who apparently only hires the severely handicapped. After 5+ minutes of trying to explain that I was trying to identify this pump so I would know GPM & per rev displacement, the result of the conversation was this statement-
"If you can tell me what pump you have, we can tell you what pump you have."
Seriously?:confused:
If anyone can identify it, I'd appreciate any info you can give me.

Hah, good luck with Northern. Used to be a good hydro shop, now they are a chain of junk vendors.

This pump is definitely not the original; I suggest matching another aftermarket pump to your hoe rather than try to fix this one.

Swing weldment pin to bottom plate wear is as expected.
Swing weldment pin to top plate wear is the worst I have ever seen. That's a standard #2 pencil.

This pump is definitely not the original; I suggest matching another aftermarket pump to your hoe rather than try to fix this one.

I already have an original N.I.B. replacement pump for mine; I would like to identify this one to see if it might be useful for other projects.
As later pics will show, I will probably never rebuild this wreck, there is just too much damage. Unless someone offers me a very, very large sum of money.:D

1st pic is the factory pin mounting method, 2nd is the taterhaid pin mounting method & it's resulting damage. Most of the pins are hacked up like this.

Worst damage is from some butcher/hack trying to bend the outriggers at an angle to the rear. North Idaho Wolfman thinks they had this hoe on a much larger tractor than a B7100, and needed more clearance between the outriggers and the rear tires. Seems feasible, especially considering how badly it is beaten.
The outriggers should project from the frame at a 90 degree angle, (green line)
but now are angled to the rear. (red line) Sledge hammer, then they then added some random metal, not the same on both sides, and some crappy welds.

Look how badly bent the pin that connects the outrigger cylinder to the outrigger ended up.

This pin should be held by (2) 5/16-18 bolts vertically, instead someone beat the crap out of one end (and the weldment) & stuck an undersize cotter pin in the other end.

There are lots of places where extra metal was added, or things where bent, or pounded on, or hoses routed completely wrong.
On the upside, 3 of the hoses look new, and it did have a cap on the hydraulic tank.:D

In conclusion, I guess I will never fail to be amazed at how badly some people can treat equipment, and then, with no apparent skills or common sense, butcher the "repair". I can safely say I have never done anything like that to a piece of equipment, and if I have no experience, skills, or tooling to repair something, I hire someone to do it, usually the best in their field.
I guess I'm just wired differently.
I did get a decent stash of parts, and this thing should keep my neck flexible for years to come, because I'll shake my head every time I look at it.:D
