Just not on that particular machine I guess.

From doing mine I can tell you it's an involved job. Nothing horribly difficult but there is a lot of work involved. Everything between the two halves need to be disconnected which may include the steering, throttle, hydraulic lines, wiring, the list goes on. The halves may need some persuasion to come apart. I had to drop the sling holding the front slightly to wrench them apart. Once in there the clutch comes off pretty easily. You'll likely need a bearing puller to remove the throw out bearing and flywheel if it needs to be machined and if the clutch is chattering it likely does. Recentering the clutch disc without a tool isn't to bad. I bolted the pressure plate cage on lightly so the clutch disc could still move and then bolted the halves together. I then tightened the bolts through the clutch access panel and then removed them one at a time applied loctite and bolted reinstalled the bolts.

Piece of cake. Replaced clutch disc/pressure plate/throwout bearing & rear main seal on my 1980 B7100 last Sept. Could have done it in a day if I hadn't decided to order & replace seal (on spec since it was apart - no sign of leakage), & also paint chassis & tin. The previous owner had over-greased the throwout bearing carrier & everything was saturated with old, sticky grease, preventing clutch from dis-engaging when the pedal was depressed. When you get yours apart check the fork from the clutch pedal shaft that engages slots/grooves in the throwout bearing carrier. Mine were worn flat & I built them back up with weld & ground them round again. I've seen mention made of adjusting the height of the pressure plate fingers but installed mine as I received it. Took mine mostly apart with metric sockets in my Dewalt 18v impact tool. Can't think of anything else right now. Mine has been slumbering all winter at our cottage & hope to take it for a rip over the Easter weekend when we open up for the season.

Hey Stumpy, I need to do a clutch replacement on my B6200D. I have knowledge of car type clutches so that part should not be a problem but not tractors. However even the workshop manual (kindly recommended by another forum member) does not appear to tell one how to split the tractor. Any chance of you giving me the list of parts to remove and the order to remove them in? I am aware of the jacks needed and choking the front axle etc.
Cheers, Nick (UK)
