B6000 PTO

Hi folks,

I'm only new to this so I hope I'm posting in the correct section and also that my question hasn't been answered before!
I purchased a B6000 a couple of years ago and have spent a good bit of time looking for info on the forward facing PTO, I am assuming that it was used for a mid mounted mower deck at some point. Mine only has the shaft out coming out if the box (just like the rear PTO), but I'm wondering is there a bevel box that fits to this or can a shaft be attached to it for running a front mounted brush or any addional attachments that I make up?

For your vintage of tractor the front powered implements were driven off the front of the engine crankshaft absent a mid pto shaft.

There was an electric clutch used and then V belts dropping down to the pto to the blower etc.

Matching the crankshaft splines if usually the hard item to find.

Try some searching on the forum for front mounted hydraulic pumps to see info on driving from the end of the crank..

Thanks very much for your reply. I'll share a picture with you, hopefully I haven't missed anything in your reply! This is a picture of a splined shaft (with a plastic slieve over it to protect the splines) coming out of the front end of my transmission case, just below where the front prop shaft leaves the front case. What I am looking for is an original (if possible) transfer case which would have transferred drive from this to either a mid mounted deck, or in my case, I can use it front a front end brush or similar that I will make up.
