I have been to several sites looking for a new tachometer for my 2910. None of the sites display a picture but all of then have the same factory (Kubota) part number. So I ordered one and of course it's wrong. Anybody else experienced this?

post photos of the original and replacement tach.
It might be easier then to make an intelligent comment
I see this unit for $1,000 on Messicks

Why not tell us why you feel you need to replace the tach and what diagnostics you have done.

I replaced the tach cable which was not the problem. The tach is erratic and howls like crazy. The photo above is the unit I have. Intigrated in the dash board.

Just a quess my b7800 I can see that the needle is bent(probably from heat) and it is touching the plastic cover and it is catchy

I did a google search and came up with this company local to you who repair instrument clusters.
Repair
Worth taking to them and perhaps they can fix yours on site.

Hope you get it fixed.

I have a B2910 as well and think if my tachometer went bad and cost a lot of money to replace/fix I would just do without it.

Actually I am not sure I ever use it much anyway. I do make sure I am running at least 1500 RPM minimum, but could ear-ball that in any case.

WOT is not that much more tha 540 PTO RPM. And so on…
